TruPace is a European fitness equipment manufacturer founded in the 1990s. Their mission is to provide well-engineered products at affordable prices, and to our surprise they seem to be meeting their goal among lighter-weight customers. Why “to our surprise?” Just because these products are European doesn’t mean they’re manufactured in Germany or another country known for expert engineering and quality control. They’re made in China and only weigh around 120 pounds. In any case, the brand recently gained entry to the US market. Its elliptical trainers are sold primarily through 1800Treadmill.com and Amazon.
Three TruPace elliptical models are available: E200, E220 and E250. Each has an 18” stride. The entry-level E200 gets poor reviews but the others have been called durable and good values by customers. Highlights on the TruPace E220 and E250 include MP3 player ports and speakers, articulating pedals and, on the E250, 22 preset programs and a color touch screen.
We’re skeptical of the positive customer reviews posted online because TruPace
machines contain lots of plastic. Have you used a TruPace elliptical? We’d love to hear from you.
